ABOUT ME

My name is Allison Parker.   I live in Dillsburg, Pennsylvania with my husband Uriah of 15 years and our three children.  I have been a part of this community for many years: graduated from Mechanicsburg Area Senior High, have family residing from Mechanicsburg to Camp Hill to Harrisburg and over to Dover and all the way up to State College.  I spend much of my time with my family in the great outdoors.  We visit our cabin upstate many times a year just to be in nature and enjoy family time.  I love to prepare food the old fashioned way by baking bread from scratch and preserving/storing our garden harvest for year long use.  I also enjoy running, sewing especially quilting, and on the side I am a freelance writer which brings me great fulfillment.  It is a joy to watch my children in all their activities keeping us hoping from soccer to football to ice hockey and horseback riding.  It is a wonderfully full life.  Hope I may have the pleasure of getting to know you more sometime soon.  Let's have coffee.

ABOUT CENTRAL PA

It is true that Central Pennsylvania is a wonderful place to live.  There are so many diverse towns, each one offers their own specialties.  Harrisburg is steeped in architectural history loaded with conveniences within walking distance for those that work at the capital.  Middletown to Elizabethtown host where the towns intersect the countryside right along the convenient train line to Philadelphia and all the way to Penns Station in NYC.  Hershey and the rolling hills of Hummlestown accomodate fun and tourism without disrupting the fine, family strong communities. Skip over to the other shore in Camp Hill, where charming neighborhoods and top rated schools are all the rave.  Hugging the Susquahanna towns like Wormleysburg, Marysville, Duncannon engage daily in the seasonal views of the river while maintaining humble towns that stretch into the organic hills of Perry County.  Mechanicsburg seamlessly blends the town and the farm hosting three school districts spred throughout Cumberland Valley.  Just a short trek to Boiling Springs where the Appalachian Trail cuts directly through - around the Childrens Lake and up toward Allenbury Playhouse. Dillsburg celebrates its small town vibe and takes pride as a strong farming community.  From Carlisle to Gettysburg, if these cobblestone roads could talk the tales they would tell where much of our country's first steps took place, as much of the landscape remains the same even today.
